Hello,
I am new to kayaking.  Sometimes I look at myself and wonder what are you doing?  I have fished a lot over the years but never had a boat.  Never wanted one.  I have started reading about kayaks for several weeks and see the tremendous amount of fun that occurs out there.  Decided to buy the kayak and get fishing again.  It has been awhile.

I saw some kayaks going in Bass Lake several weeks ago and that is what got me going.  Yesterday I ordered the kayak.  Don't even have it yet. I hope in a few weeks it will be here.  From there I am not sure. I will hit some rivers and streams and see what happens.  The San Joaquin and Lakes east of MADERA then who knows what else.

Spoke to my brother and mentioned this. He likes to duck hunt. I hunted for a few years, never enjoyed freezing my butt off.  However, am thinking I may do some hunting this year.  He seems to think it would work well.  Of course, I have looked for last week or so on duck videos...it just seems to be amazing.

Anyway, can't wait to see how this all goes!

Thanks
MadMedik

Well I did get a new kayak for my birthday today, but I'm pretty sure I had to pay for it.  :smt003

I bought the Kilroy.  Mostly small streams and lakes around here.  I don't really want to do any ocean kayaking.  I think it will be good for me.

I like the seat on the Kilroy.  Looks like a sweet yak for lakes & streams.

I think it was Sunday of fishing derby.   I was on last pier in front of spillway/dam.  I asked if that was a fish finder?  They joyfully replied YES,!  Too much fun.    :smt001
