Thanks Mike!, for the set-up of LS-FHC'08. and for lending me the FINESTpoleEVERmade!!(it was my time to forget a "MAJOR" piece(s) of equipment(s) and thy good ol' FELLOW BROTHERSofMADNESS took care of me! DOUBLEmajorTHANKS!!to Jason, the coolest ever!, for coming through with the shuttle of camp gear, it made it much more fun on the 2mi./1hr paddle....THANKS X2!Kyle and Jay for the set-ups,I really was hoping to have SUPER-DUPER thank-yous'X2 &a sweet story of how I was able to FINALY conquer that elusive !$%^*ing Smallie, but I don't.
I do have a *new(s)"CampFireStory(ies) though!

It was another three days of FUNinTHEsun!  If this is the last ManCamp of the year?, it's going down as a very memorable one for me(see above story&see below pics)

Rory&Kyle had firewood in organized piles when we arrived, THANKS!! it was one less thing to do for Mooch and enabled me to stick with the huntdown plans.

I hit it the lake Saturday morning with Naoaki and Ashly.   Had no luck on the way back either.  Hopefully I will get another shot at the smallies before the year end.  Time is running out. . 

good to see yous' three on Saturday...and can you talk Naoaki into giving us a personal tour of his Fo'Sho'SmallieHole?

My prize for the trip was a prime mushroom called a "Lion's Mane" Going to make a meal out of it on Tuesday. They are supposed to be one of the best. It's my first one that I found. Also had fun teaching the finer points of baking a spud...

Thanks for the lesson on "pulling out before it BURNS!" and that cute lil'HedgeHog was a rare find.

Nice fish Mooch...glad to see you with a real trout.

..and the fisherman formerly known as TheTroutSlyer didn't even know how to clean OR scale it....I simply told him to do, as Paige would say "Stick a Knife In Its Butt! and Rip the Guts Out!!"

I caught a Pike Friday on Joels' Steelie pole i took(borrowed) from him when he was surfing the lake....it was big, skinny and fought like a wet sock. I returned to camp, inorder to prep&cook(open 2 cans of beans) and show Mooch how to make PinoyFoilFish fun and easy for the whole family to enjoy.

OMG, that looks like an awesome time!!!  Bummed to have missed such a cool FHC.  Those steelies look CLEAN!

Saturday nightsCowboyCampMeal was great, we had Mikes' Thick&Tender Steak, accompanied by my old'family recipe for baked-beans(combine 1 can of Bushs' Honeybaked with 1 can of MapleBacon) and heat to taste. along with Rorys'Wifes' MacSalad and we were STUFFED!...oh, and thank you Lino for letting me in on the REAL_Adobo&rice!! it was as good as I've heard it to be. andITdon'tNEEDtoBEreferidgerated!! pure camping food in my book!
After the Cowboy meal had settled down a bit, I tossed on the Fish on the grill. I did it FillipinoStyle, since it was Moochs' second REAL_Trout. It was stuffed with some ChineseParsley, GreenOnion, Garlic, Butter, Lemon, Salt&Pepper! and came out pretty darn good.
