Gonna head up to Lake Mendocino next weekend with my wife and two dogs next weekend for some much needed R&R.
Anyone know if there is anything fishy going on up there this time of year?
Havn't been there in years  and will want to bring the right tackle.
Thanks in advance for any info!
Scotty

I was up there recently. Senkos thrown at visible trees worked for bass. 3 inch gulp minnows on 1/8 oz jigheads and small swimbaits worked well fished deeper. Bring some circle hooks and a sliding sinker rig for evening/night catfish action. Night crawlers and frozen Shad worked well for me.

Temps have been dropping so I don’t have any super recent intel, but I was thinking of trying this week. I’ll let you know if I find out anything.

Went there twice last year. Best fish is on the south side , by the island , and that cove. Threw nothing but rattletrap for big smallish , lmb and one big crappie. Good action there. Had a huge stripper try to eat a 1.5 lb smallie right under my kayak.
