Mooch Lives! that was straight&to the point......my Kayak Fishing days will never be the same without him. I met him in 2006, but it feels like we fished&chilled for over 20years.
Thanks Bushy :smt010

That is very fitting article Allen for such a great man that touched so many lives in so many ways. I to am one of the many people who only had the opportunity to meet Joel one time. He seems to have really touched my heart greatly. I think to myself how could a person that i only met one time make such an impression on me. It really is so simple though. It was so easy to see that he was a man that you could tell was genuine and did not put up any defenses or guards when you met him.
I am not a man that is not the best at articulating my thoughts, but I must say that his spirit and all the good wishes that everyone has expressed has really touched me :smt010 :smt001. My regards to Joel's family and the N.C.K.A. family.I am really glad to be part of such a great group and hope to get to know you all better. Sincerely, Bulldog ( Alex ) :smt006

Thanks Allen. Nicely done. Fitting tribute to a great man and friend to us all

That's beautiful, Allen. It certainly draws out both smiles and tears. Could this be put on the NCKA front page?

Allen thanx for the endearing write up. Mooch truely had that rare gift to be everyone's best friend. I am saddened and grateful at the same time.... What a touching send off we gave him eh? I think we all learned how to be a better person from his presence. A life long gift.

Beautiful tribute to a beautiful person.
-
Thanks for writing that Allen. I will add that, although the records/pics were lost, Joel was NCKA's first AOTY.
I think if we had a vote he would easily be NCKA's angler of the decade. jim

Although I never had the honor to meet him, This is an awesome tribute. Well said Bushy and well done Mooch.

Thank you Allen. That was as good as it gets.

+1 I agree that Joel is looking down grinning ear-to-ear knowing that he is a modest/humble man who doesn't want attention. Awesome writeup Allen!!

That's just absolutely beautiful Allen. :smt010

Really sad to hear about Mooch. I haven't been on the site for a few months, so it was a bit of a shock. Thanks for the great memorial.
-
I've not been on this site for some time, and I'm troubled to read of Mooch's passing. He was a great man.....in a world where greatness doesn't happen too often anymore. Wherever he is now, I bet the fishing is great.
-
I haven't been on the site or yak fishing in so long. RIP Mooch, glad to have known you.

I have logged on in about a year due to a lot of things upon hearing this news I am saddened. Joel was / is a great guy and it was a pleasure to have known him. My heart goes out to all of his family and friends.
Great memorial. It really brought a tear.
