I don't have a car for sale, but my wife kicked me out of her nice roomy Honda Pilot for the same reason.  :smt002 Now I use my much smaller Honda CRV. Good gas mileage yet still big enough to fit 2 kayaks (on J racks), 8 Danielson crab pots, 2 crab rings, a few fishing poles, full size cooler, bunch of 5 gal buckets and all the odds and ends. Oh and 2 people. It looks like a clown car when I keep pulling more and more stuff out. If your careful how you pack I think any small SUV would be OK. I did have to buy roof racks since my base model did not come with them, but they weren't that much on Amazon.

To help keep the smell down, now that I'm using my car, I put a big piece of heavy plastic (that I reuse over and over) over the whole inside, including the folded down seats, before I load it up. It works great, especially when I have wet crab traps.

Good luck car shopping.

An old CRV is a great fishing vehicle. I've got one, but it's not for sale--I'm going to drive it until the wheels fall off. Btw, mine has sort of a "low tide" smell to it...
Please don't spoil my day, I'm miles away...

I'm pretty sure mine does once you add in the life jacket and radio. And I think I only paid about $350 for my boat.

of course, the car's a suzuki, so that's not terribly surprising.

I have a friend selling a 2006 Subaru Outback, I think he said $3500 would be his asking price.

He also has an older Subaru hatchback he would sell for less, but is has more miles and is a true “fishing car”. PM me if you are curious enough for contact information.
