I'm almost done building a custom bait tank in my Ultra 4.7.
The rectangular compartment behind the seat is going to be perfect. Still need to build a lid for it but the hard part is complete.
Here's a sneak peek. I'll post a full report w/pics after testing it out OTW!

Lookin good Pat !        Couple questions,
1, Is that pump going to be low enough to self prime?
2,  What keeps the water from flowing back out when it's off?
3,  Where does the overflow exit?

Sometimes the fish isn't the only prize.

I like it ;0)

I'll answer a few questions from above.
1. If using a 350 pump with 6v battery, or a reostat controller, than yes.
2. Might need a check valve.
3. Overflow was built into well from factory, flows to rear well and out scuppers.

Great setup, love where you put the controlls, nice and clean ;0)

Yup, I have a check valve rigged inline. I actually tried 3 different versions before finding the right one. But it still doesn't fit completely inside the scupper, so it has an extension beyond the scupper into the water...and I use a bulb to prime the pump before switching it on (bulb is between pump and sprayer head).
I didn't take pics of the whole thing together...this is just a sneak peek haha!

Overflow not pictured either. Like Eric mentioned, it can overflow into the tankwell and out the scuppers. But I have a simply overflow tube that plugs into the other scupper.

The power adapter in the back accepts most standard accessories too...in case I want to plug in a lighted pole etc.

Oh yeah, and the Beckson 4" screw-in deck hatch fits perfectly after cutting off part of the flange! I would recommend this over the OK Rod Tube 100% because I can now access the inside of the hull AND easily store multiple rods in the center hatch now!

That hatch install looks clean!  I just picked up an Ultra 4.3 and want to do the same.  What's the best way to cut the hole out?  Dremel w/ some type of attachment?

I am a huge fan of installing a round deck hatch instead of the "OK Rod Tube" because it gives you way more flexibility...I can easily store my rods and/or access the interior of the hull. Whereas the Rod Tube only fits 1 or 2 rods and prevents you from accessing the hull. The Beckson 4" Deck Plate fits perfect after trimming off a small piece of the flange (the ring around the outside). This one: http://www.beckson.com/screwout.html
Search youtube for kayak hatch install and you'll see a bunch of methods. Here's a good description too: http://www.topkayaker.net/Articles/Instruction/SixInchHatch.htm
Unfortunately, there isn't much room to work inside the Ultra hatch (couldn't fit my jigsaw in there). My method was super jenky, but I just used a 2" drillbit and made about 6 holes, then trimmed out the remaining chunks using a sawzall...then cleaned it up with a Surform tool.
