Shasta Bass Baits has signed on as a sponsor. They are a veteran owned business and very excited to help support Heroes On The Water. We will be giving away a few of their baits at the tournament.

Please visit their FB page, like and share.

Good to see they signed on, I've heard the owner is a great guy and they make some killer baits.
Remember to practice safe knots, because big fish don't just break your line, they also break your heart.

If you are considering fishing the tournament, Bridge Bay Resort is running 15% off on houseboats right now.

Bring your wife and family make a weekend of it, or if group of participants traveling from out of area 3 days/2 nights sleeps 8 - $750

Come up Friday, pre-fish, stay Friday and Saturday

There are larger houseboats also.

So where will the launch for this event be and what is the camping situation?

We are going to have two to four launch sites depending on number of participants. We are using iAngler for real time scoring/check-in which has some benefits for time stamping pictures/check-in and travel.  Bridge Bay Resort (check-in) is one, Centimudi and Packers Bay will be the first two additional launches.

Our "Find Us" page has links to nearby camping/RV options. Didn't post all the RV places, a few around the Redding area.

That is really cool, it is nice to see something like this on the west coast. I am new to bass fishing tournaments, I see it states no trolling. Does that mean no trolling motors or no trolling lures?

Correct, no motors are allowed and no trolling lures whether paddling or pedaling. These rules are basically the same as any Hobie Open Qualifier and similar to the rules at the Hobie Fishing Worlds.

Appreciate the question, everyone feel free to ask anything you would like, will try to answer the best I can.

Once we have a handle on sponsors and numbers we will begin posting more on payout and prizes.

Update on Tournament

We have 26 registered, 17 paid in full, if you want to see who is fishing look here at the Leaderboard page;

http://ianglertournament.com/tournament/leaderboard/1473?day=03%2F25%2F2017&dayEnd=03%2F26%2F2017

If you want to be assured of premium Captains Bag and tournament t-shirt, please register and pay in full by March 1.

We will likely allow a shotgun start, if you are going to be on the water before first light you must have a light on your kayak otherwise you will have to wait until official starting time to launch. If you launch early you must stay in the designated boundaries we determine until fishing is allowed. Bridge Bay Resort has a paved launch ramp and long floating dock. We will request that you stay with in that general area until fishing begins.

Remember to check rules page on iAngler for latest "official" updates" http://ianglertournament.com/shasta-bass-kayak-classic

I went online for hotel reservations, is the lodge really booked? I am still on the fence, but wanted to look into it more.

Yes, very possible, they only have 40 rooms, expect several people have reserved the rooms before they actually registered.

I am waiting to hear if they will give better then 15% discount on houseboats for tournament.  If 8 people kick in on houseboat better price then lodge and you could come up and pre-fish, Thursday, Friday.  :smt001
