I just picked up 10' kayak think its the same one they sell at Walmart and dicks sporting goods. I'd like to goto the delta around Stockton in one of the sloughs that doesn't get much traffic. Any pointers.

Welcome aboard icecube.  My favorite place in Delta is the Tiki Lagoon.  I don't fish the Delta much but many people here do and I'm sure they'll chime in.

Discovery bay is where I've had a lot of luck... don't cast to close to the $$$$$$$$$ boats though or Peeps panic. Bass ,striper, crappie and BIG GILLS... Stay safe out there :smt006
Come on out! It's time to play. It's time for TROUT Bass and STRIPER. Let go of the hand brake!

Discovery Bay Yacht Harbor is a great place to launch, never been asked about fees.  Great bass fishing and people.

Whimpys is another good launch
The Meadows is super close to where u are. Lotta bass, some stripes, and unfortunately a ton of boat traffic on the weekends.
