I think we all owe a great big thank you to ravensblack and everyone else who contributed to this event. It was amazing.

Even my wife who's not big on camping said she had a great time. The kids were constantly busy having fun. I had a blast fishing even with the less than perfect sea conditions and it felt like a second home with everyone in camp.  What a great group of people. We'll definitely be back.

Thanks to everyone for an amazing weekend.  :smt006

Thank you Craig and Linelle for hosting an incredible event.
Congratulations to Fishworks916, Rockroach, MontanaN8V for outfishing everyone in those ugly conditions.
Thanks to my GF Becky for preparing the tiki bar and Scott for finishing it up. And Scott, Denise, John and Lisa for all their great food and fantastic campsite additions.
I was first to launch in the dark; light on front of the yak and headlamp facing backwards.
I got about to the middle of the cove and took a wave to the chest. That sucked. Paddled to just outside the cove and let me tell you, I have never been scared on my yak....until I got just outside the cove. Alone and still a little dark looking at big faces and really mixed swell had me turn around. A couple of times I felt like I was going to pearl some of the faces were so steep. I safely and fortunately made it out of the slop and tucked into the north side of the cove.
Don D wasn't too far behind. He started out then tucked into the north side as well. A lot of us did. Tommy and I chilled back for quite a while. But as the outgoing tide came close to an end the seas mellowed out a little....just a little. I met Relentless near the whistle buoy and we headed south near Bull Rock. Marked a lot of fish but really had to pay attention to where we were drifting. I got two underlings but Dave was doing much better. Nothing big but consistent. The wind picked up and we were outta there.
Fished inside and got an undersized cabby and a greenling that came unbuttoned right at the yak.
I fished hard but couldn't get anything to make a run at it.
The seas were rough and the fishing was hard but camp made up for it.
Nothing beats the friendships, old and new, like the ones at NCKA.
Becky set up a tiki bar at camp. All anyone had to do was show up for all the margaritas you wanted.
We went through 9 bottles of Jose Cuervo Gold and one bottle of Cazadores compliments of Kingfisher.
We also went through 4 dozen oysters shoters for those lucky enough to show up at the right time.
The potluck was incredible as always.
It was great to turn on some non NCKA friends of mine to how we roll. They had a blast.
Thank you to everyone for making this the kind of event I want to come back to year after year after year.
Can't wait until next year.
