50 percent or higher disability rating required. It's not a blanket privilege.

Thats what I thought, I thought for a moment that I was missing out on something new

Certified Nurse Assistant/file clerk at a jail

Started out as a caregiver (noncertified work) at a memory care facility for a year and a half, then I went to school for a month while working to get certified and then moved up to CNA at a skilled facility working graves for 2 years and now moved on up to the jail for almost 3 years now. I have topped out and am contemplating my next move. *to be continued*

I have held the titles of

Environmental Ground Water Tech
Mounted Patrol Guard (unarmed)
Caregiver
CNA
Clerk
Step Dad
Husband

It's been a wild ride

Hey you did do it! I would put a wetsuit 4mm surfing full body etc towards the top of your stuff to get list. I lasted about 2-3 hours on tomales bay without it and had to paddle in. I was counting on the sun and high temps...the fog didn't let that happen

Nice... but have you checked the tankwell fit with the tubes on the sides like that?

It's going in a frenzy and at T minus 48 hours till launch ill make it work lol but yes I expect some adjustment and growing pains, a valid point sir I will be pulling the yak in the garage tomorrow morning for final fit

Just a thought...put your fishing rods in the holders and then try to close the hatch. You might be spending a lot of time "adjusting" them each time you access the crate. Just a thought.

I see your point and I'll see after a few times out if the fiddling outweighs the reward

Thanks all for the feedback  :smt006

Thanks for the update.  Any idea when is the official opening is????  That way I can send the wife out of town for the day.

Not sure which day is which but they said something about swag for one day for the first 200 or so people and then another day 5$-500$ gift cards for first 150 or something like that. There were a few promotions I saw (if youre looking for a downrigger there was one on sale) but I believe they are chain wide promotions. There didnt appear to be any particular "sales" associated with the opening.

So I was lucky enough to be one of the people invited into Basspro for the secret opening. My initial impression was "wow" it's huge. I have a few pics up and ill upload them here. The staff were great, and fairly knowledgeable considering the store had yet to open. Everyone that worked there was very energetic and eager to please. I will be going back. I am not a cameraman by any means, consider this a shaky and blurry first peek. The sign I took a picture of said 'Home of hunters, fishers, and other liars' or something to that affect. it was above the entrance

I am not sure how late we will be there on Fri, but a buddy of mine and I will be OTW sunrise from Nicks looking for Hali...all I ever seem to hook is mudmarlin though. This time I am keeping my hook out of the dirt by a few inches maybe that will help.  :smt006

I have this one and it's currently on sale at Cabela's.  Fits great, lots of pockets to put stuff.  I rarely need more than this to carry my fishing gear.

Wow that's better than amazon has it for.

For Sale / Re: Beware of stolen kayaks for sale.......
« on: August 29, 2009, 01:00:15 PM »
I would like to say this: All Kayak vendors need to have, at the very least, a camera monitoring system installed on their properties and especially in their storage areas. Im not pointing fingers because I haven't looked at everyones security setup. But, with an outback running 1700~ retail each yak lost is a big dent in the wallet and well worth the investment in video surveillance to protect.  Is this sounding like an ad yet? K good. I wont drop names just call your local Property Protection agency and see what they offer for cams. You can get cams that will even let you remote monitor, they will contact you via email and sms if motion is detected in a zone you have chosen, and ones that can see at night. If you have any questions regarding cams, patrol visits, or standing guard please send me a pm. Though I would love for everyone in my area to come to my employer for help I am offering...advice, and I wont preach my company unless you ask for refferals in your area blah blah.

Unfortunately there is little I can do to help you at home, I till say this "Bike chains, Padlocks, storage sheds, or garages"

well time for Operation Gyre cleanup 2010 to commence. Seeing as though we should already be paddling out there to get there in time there will be no formal planning....just start paddling..  :yak

"Dear John,

Thank you for your message and your interest in Scripps Institution of
Oceanography at UC San Diego.

I was on the voyage and the student researchers picked up as much debris as
they could. Your GPS idea is an interesting one, however the problem with
the gyre is that it is so far away from land that getting there to pick it
up is a challenge in an of itself.

Again, thank you for your message."

Already have a response to my letter and it turns out the students that charted the better part of the flotilla are more than approachable. It's good to hear that they did pick up what they could.
