My boss, My girlfriend and I went to pine flat(45mins from fresno) today to hunt for rainbows.  We all troled around in circles around the cove in front of the boat ramp  I was the only one useing leadcore.  It was a pain but it paid off.  Because I caught about double the amount my girlfriend did and we were using the same lure.  My boss troled a rapalla and caught about 10 (lost count).  I caught about ten as well kept a limit.  My girlfriend caught 5 or 6. we were on the water after ten and were off it by 12:15 or so. Fun day.  All my fish were betwen 12"-13"  planters but good sized planters.  my boss said he got one that was about 15" but I didnt see it.

they had a funy looking blunt face like a broke and a purpleish coloring but it may just be the time of year.

There is one camp site that I can think of but I have never camped there.  The bass fishing is good in the spring time but watch out for raddlesnakes  because as the water rises and fills there holes we see alot of them on the water.  and they will try to climb up on your boat. :smt117  I dont know what that meens but I like it.

rattle snakes in the water......that will try to climb in your boat :smt010

MY WORST NIGHTMARE  :smt088

I'd rather get eaten by a great white.....no thanks...I think I'll stick to my local fishing holes.

Thanks for the warning  :smt023

I like snakes.

Joel, it can't be your worst nightmare unless there are water skeeter tarantulas trying to get aboard too.   :smt018

I'd rather share my kayak with a rattler than a bitten in half harbor seal..
The legend lives on from the Chippewa on down
Of the big lake they call Gitche Gumee
Superior, they said, never gives up her dead
When the gales of November come early.

it's the small creatures that scare me more - they kinda sneak up on you.
.....for snakes...well....think about it......how can a creature without legs move so fast? It's a freak of nature that I don't EVER want to encounter!  :smt118

I dated a girl back then - who kept a snake as a pet. On the 4th date, I asked her how it would taste over rice (because I hated them ALIVE) - she never answered my question...and it was the last time I saw her  :smt062

I guess I should move to Hawaii - NO SNAKES THERE & LOT'S OF BIKINI CLAD WOMEN!  :smt038

We fish this lake alot and see one or two snakes a year.  they have all been small.  and a slap with a paddle or fishing rod will knock them out.  they also dont swim that fast you would be able to paddle away.
