I think it's time for me to get a new dry suit. The Kokatat SuperNova Angler Semi-Dry Suit appears to be the obvious choice, but speak up if you have other recommendations. The next question is Gore-Tex or Hydrus. I've never tried the Gore-Tex suits. Are they worth the extra $200+?

I have this one (Gore-Tex) and I like it, and this price looks good...

i'm not familiar with kokotat products.  I've had two stohlquist drysuits, and love em. My newest/second suit is the Amp. Reasonably priced and the customer service is spot on.

Gor-tex works great.  I have the Navy Seals one.  It has pockets, reinforced knees and butt, and knee pads.  I found it for $450 on Ebay. It was a tall too like brand new.

Thanks for the replies. Anyone have a direct comparison of Hydrus and Gore-Tex? My Hydrus suit works well, but Gore-Tex is more expensive so it must be better.  :smt001

I just upgrade from Hydrus (which I’ve been used for ~6yrs) to GoreTex Angler.
GoreTex is much lighter & breathable. Might feel cooler side so people who runs hot might like GoreTex better, but Hydrus is pretty solid if you don’t wanna spend the extra $.

I've never tried anything but Gore-Tex, but the reason I went for it is because of reviews that say it is cooler and quieter, compared to the alternatives. I pedal a lot, so quietness is an important factor...
