I was at Bodega this morning pumping for ghost shrimp.  Looking for typical 1/2"-3/4" holes.  On my 3rd pump, this weird worm type thing came out.  Had to be at least 1.5" in diameter and about 6-7" long. 

I've never encounter this creature before.  Hoping someone can shed some light.  Scared the crap outta me when I initially saw it.

Urichus caupo, or Fat Innkeeper Worm Only member of its phylum (Echiura). Also known as McGinnity's Penis, you can kinda see why: It's not usually that big, but when it gets disturbed or irritated, it swells up and squirts. And no, I couldn't make this stuff up, but I do remember some of my marine invertebrate zoology class. For some reason this one stuck...

Yep - for sure innkeeper worm - corbinas in socal love them. Record corbina caught on one. I have not had much luck with them in norcal.
