I'm sure we've all had the problem of soggy egg carton of a broken egg in the ice chest or the hassle of all ways having to make sure the eggs are on top.
Found this solution on the net , whip raw eggs and use funnel to put Into an empty beverage container with a screw on cap. Wish I would have known this many years ago. :smt001

Get a hard case at wal mart or wherever. Or get fresh unwashed eggs and don’t bother potting them in the cooler. That way you can still have eggs over easy for breakfast.

Makes it easier to cook and clean up that way too. No shells to deal with.

To fix that problem I purchased a camper to put them in the fridge.

I used to break the eggs into a mixing bowl and stir them up then add diced ham and maybe some chopped green onion.  I would then put aliquots into zip lock plastic bags with a small pat of butter and freeze them.  When I wanted "scrambled eggs".  The bags stayed in the ice chest with the other food.  I would just toss the bag into boiling water for a few minutes until they were cooked.  Easy peasy when camping.

I just don't bother refrigerating them when camping.  I've never had any issues for a few days but I know that goes against food safety ideas.   Just try and keep them cool. (not sitting in the sun)

Gatorade bottles work great for this, and they freeze well too, so no egg mess, and you get another frozen thing in the cooler to help stretch your ice mileage.

You could just buy liquid eggs in a carton like restaurants even less mess and packed under sterile conditions. $3 Cash and Carry 32oz you can freeze them also.

I've traveled all over camping from my motorcycle with a hard plastic egg carrier bought at Walmart.  They come in 6 egg size.  I've dumped my bike spectacularly and never had an egg break yet.  An egg will last at least a week unrefrigerated.  probably longer.  When I was in Alaska, we bought eggs once every six months and they were fine all that length of time.

Use a wide mouth mason jar. Break the eggs and put them in. Then you’ll still be able to make fried eggs or pour them in a bowl to mix. FYI, When you pour them out they will pour out one at a time (white and yolk together)
