Fishing Kayak Wanted

Looking for a good fishing kayak in the $500 range for my friend Caleb. Yes there's more than one Caleb. He's a vet looking for something to help him relax.

New he can get a West Marine Pompano 120 for under $500.  It's made by Perception (wilderness systems).  Pretty cool yak.  Flat deck.  Comes rigged with anchor trolley.  Place for Scotty mounts.  Deck hatches with bag.  Protected ocean or most lakes/rivers.

I suggested the pescador-same kayak. Just waiting for a 25 percent off coupon for sports authority.

West Marine puts it on sale time to time too

They extended the 25 off 1 item deal for today at sports authority. I think its online only. I have the pescador 12. Great kayak.

My buddy picked up a decent 12' from big 5. It's on the less expensive side but he's loving it as his first yak. $250

The bass pro ascend kayak  is the most stable  ocean kayak I've been on.   I took mine out today for about a five hour trip out of Monterey.  I have own a perception, an Ocean kayak and have paddle the hobies and the pelican.  I won't go back to any of them but the ocean Malibu.

Post some photos up after Craig sends them to me.   If you're in the $500 range, it's definitely the way to go.
