I'm looking at this one on eBay. No shipping tax and it's 14amp. After shipping on the dakota battery and tax?, it's only about $15 more and has 40% more battery. What a ya think?

Keep in mind this is one of those (ah range) batteries. It says 10-14 ah. Compare it to a 14 ah lead acid or a 10 ah LiFePo4 price wise. It is not truly a 14 ah lithium.

originally my multistar 4s 16ah batteries were getting their butts kicked, but recently they've been killin' it.  Lasting more than a full day (more like 1.5 days) on a Lowrance Elite 7 TI with totalscan.  Not the cheapest and takes some maintenance to keep them charged properly but they're doin' duty.  The only one I would recommend above it would be the bioenno power 12ah/20ah or 35ah if you need several days in a row.

I need batteries that will power me 14 hour days, as that's usually how long I fish in the summer on freshwater, and usually 2 days in a row since I don't like to daytrip to the sierras anymore.

Bioenno link - ($125 + charger about $10 more)

I just got a Dakota lulithiun battery and haven’t used it yet, the 10ah 12v one that is the same size of the SLA brick. It said in he literature that the standard SLA charger would work. Is that not the case?

This is the nocqua batt I mentioned. Comes with everything you need and weighs 22oz.

I just sprang for this bad boy.
With the 20% off coupon code FC0418iph4c, it came out to $103 with the charger.

I cannot speak particularly for this case. My battery tender lead acid battery produces 13.5V to charge. This would be over-charge a common Li-ion battery pack.
It would be over-charge the Nocqua battery too.

Only Dakota can says whether it is ok or not, since they are the maker.

+1.

Mine is K2 brand and I believe it is the same (BMS and all). FWIW. K2 said that you should not use SLA charger, and the one they recommended was fairly cheap as I recall.

Over the years i've used a ranger of batteries for my FF; however, i personally i think the charger is actually more important.
I use to buy a standard 20.00 dollar charger at fry's electronics but eventually converted to an optima digital battery charger,
and it has been night and day.

I bought my charger back in 2016 for 109 but saw it on amazon for 89.00 in 2018.  :smt013
It has served me well. It can basically bring back dead batteries by trickle charging them slowly. Great for charging a dead battery on a Car too!

I bought this and never looked back. Can't say enough about this charger. I just wish i knew earlier

BTW: Here is a tip for 12v batteries. I fish salt water a lot and it wreck havoc on my gear. I found the connectors on my FF batteries use to corrode and fall off (even if a little salt water got on it). It made good batteries useless. I recommend, spraying the connectors points with corrosion X and putting some dielectric grease on them. This has basically saved so many batteries for me! Did you know the spark caused by touching connectors together can be mitigated with putting dielectric grease on terminal connectors?! This also saves fuses from getting blown by the sparks. Hope this helps. :smt001

Looks like a nice charger, but I don't read that it has lithium setting.
