My 2001 Dodge Dakota 4X4, V8 got hit/totaled earlier this month. It got about 11mpg> bought it new in 2001. Took really good care of it. So it ran great.

I'm looking for something similar. What I'd like...

Runs good!
At least a V6
Extended cab but not a quad cab. I don't want a short bed
Doesn't have to be 4X4 but that would a plus.

Dodge Dakota would be good
Ford Ranger
Full size truck even.

Budget is about $6,500

I look online find a truck. Look up the dealer on Yelp and see a bunch of 1 stars. Not good!

Do you like Fords? I have a 2003 Ford F150 with a lot of miles but has a rebuilt motor.  4x4 standard bed.  Never wheeled it or abused it.  It's been sitting on the side of my house since I got my new truck.

In the last four years the only issue I've had with it is the alternator.  But that's already been replaced.

I was going to wait until I put new tires and catalytic converter's on it before I sold it for $5k.  I'm still planning on putting new cats (to improve mpg) but I'm willing to cut a deal. ($4k with older tires and a crack in the windshield)

How big of a hurry are you in?

Fords are fine.

I don't need one this weekend. How long were you thinking?

As long as it runs good.

How's the body work?

I am interested!

Is the work truck, so there's Knicks and dings  but nothing major. No accidents or anything.  I'll be out of town for training the next few weekends.  Spray on bed liner.  The only reason I got a new truck because I drive almost 200 miles a day and got a promotion lwhere I could afford the F150 platinum.

I'll see if I can take some photos or dig up some new photos on the computer.

Do you still want to sell it for $4000 with the cracked windshield?

Sharing a vehicle with my gf is getting old. I'm pretty much stuck around town. Can't go fishing, kayaking, hiking. Starting to get cabin fever!

I'm really hoping to get a V8 because I do haul stuff and pull things. I'll keep in in mind though.

What are the specs? mileage, body work, stuff like that?

I no longer need a truck. Just bought a 2000 Dodge Ram 4x4. Only has 102,000 miles on it. I looked high and low for month! Just need to get it registered and some insurance then I can get on with my life and do some fishing/camping/hiking.

Summer is here. I think that's a good time to sell trucks. I don't think I could live through the summer without one.
