Ha, ha, the tackle wasn't from Hi's (1st post and I'm already 86'd on this forum!)  :smt001   The lake was next to the Santa Ana river in Orange County.  He was hooked (possibly by Dad) on a spoon.  Sam's older brother netted him so he gets the assist.  I'm told the lake has hybrid's so the size should be taken with a grain of salt.  

Nice trout. Wonder if he got all his tackle at Hi's!
