Title: Looking for 2009ish Hobie Adventure hatch
Post by: Sin Coast on September 19, 2017, 11:35:51 AM
Does anybody know where I can buy a replacement front hatch cover for an 2009-ish Hobie Adventure? Like, if you lost it or damaged it... I can't find it on the Hobie site.
Thanks!

How did you lose your front hatch?

Damn, that is pricey for a front hatch replacement!  Note to self, latch the buckle on the inside.   :smt044

+1

You could make your own carbon fiber version for less than that...

To the OP, did you happen to "lose" that hatch in Carmel Valley, if so nice find!

Hahaha, you caught me! I went and checked out this Hobie Adventure and it's in mint condition for an 08. But I decided to pass, mostly due to the missing hatch. Plus, its the older style mirage drive locks and rudder up/down toggle (twist & lock tho).
The seller is a nice honest dude and said he may eventually find it (in storage while moving). Hobie wants $139 for a new hatch lid. All of the gear is in pristine condition too...yakima racks, hobie cart, aftco gaff, penn 113h combo, etc for $1000. I was the first person to look at it and the only person he replied to--said 20 people replied. last time we talked, he was gonna contact Kayak Connection (our local hobie shop) about a new hatch.

Edit: send me a message if you want more info. I can call him to see if its still available.

if any NCKA end up buying that kayak, I'll take the rod combo off you for $60.

The craigslist ad says "adventure island", but it's just the adventure (sadly, no island).

He got back to me, it sold. I think it was pretty good package deal.
