What a great event!!!!  It was so good to see old friends and make new ones :)
Friday was a good day for paddling and I got 7 dungies, then stayed on shore Saturday while the wind blew to 20+ yuck!!   Sunday the wind wasn't too bad and I worked hard for a limit in close :). But nothing big enough to place.

Major props to the folks who helped with rescues throughout the weekend, esp the coast guard!  There were kayakers and power boaters helping pull folks back to shore Saturday and Sunday

The food and prizes were off the hook!

No pics from me, i was busy soaking it all in :)

Way to have another awesome event Victor, you simply rocked it!!!!, and a great big thanks to headwaters and all the other sponsors!!

First of all, thank you Victor, Dan, event sponsors, and everyone who made it to the crabfest.  Arrived to the park around 6am and it's windy & cold.  My first contact was a half naked man and a mask man  :smt003 Walked around to say hello to everyone who's up and getting ready for a "fun" day.  My plan was to drop the pots away from the cove which already carpeted with crab buoys, check them every hour and move them if the spot is not productive.  Took my time to setup gears and dodged through the "mines" to get to the outside to drop my pots.  While I was fighting the wind to stay close to my pots, saw a kayaker was drifting toward the channel and struggling without success to get out of the danger.  Asked her if she need help and she said yes.  I forgot my tow line so asked her to hold the handle on my ama side and towed her out of the channel.  Tried to turn to the beach but unable to turn with her yak on my right side so called Scott who was near by for assistance to tow her back to the beach.  Later of the day, repeated the towing service but this time it's my dear friend ScubaLuis who was drifting to the other side of the jetty.  Luckily he had a tow line so it's easier to tow him back to safety.  I guess Karma paid off since I won third place and came home with a new paddle & crab pot + $25 gift certificate.  Here are some pictures I took yesterday at the crabfest...
