Title: Spider hitch on dropper rigs
Post by: gentlemanscholar on December 13, 2017, 06:13:21 PM
Anyone use a spider hitch know instead of the typical dropper loop knot for high low rigs? From what I've read it's a bit better than a typical dropper loop or palomar knot for high low rigs. Interested to hear people's thoughts.

I've never had a problem with the dropper loop but always willing to try new things. the spider hitch looks fine on the surface based upon videos.

Well I went out on a charter and was dropping 12oz weights (which were light at the Farallons) and it performed well. I think better than a dropper but similar all in all.
