About the Hobie Adventure, are you consider pedaling or just paddling?  If pedaling, I think it's the fastest for 100 yard dash.

It's listed as paddling

Oh, I just saw that. Paddled Adventure lol!

Well, my bicycle is faster than Rob's dragster... if you take the engine out.

If your favorite streamline kayak/s was made out of Eddyline's famous Carbonlite 2000 material you will get the best kayak ever.  Just saying.

100 yd sprint, Scupper Pro TW.
Lighter, sleeker, thus less drag,  than any of the rest.

I agree, but the old Tarpon dual hatch would be right there. Scupper is for sure fast.

That was my first thought, but it's not on the list.
You Wildy guys........... :smt002

I agreed that the SPTW is fast. It's not always about the Wildy.

I think the Stealth will kick all their asses hands down.

I recently purchased a Scupper Classic I would throw in if you want. I haven't had the time to paddle it just yet but I think its going to be faster than the Scupper Pro.

you should continue the race for another 500yards to see if that changes the results.

Perhaps you should change the name of this thread to "The quickest paddle kayak," since you haven't included any of the widely used pedal kayaks except for the Hobie Adventure, which you specify will be paddled.  Who paddles a Mirage Drive kayak, except for short distances when leaving and returning to shore, or when crossing through surf?

I suggest that you increase the distance of your test races.  Kayak fishing isn't about sprinting.  It's about covering long distances quickly and efficiently.  A one mile or two mile distance would be a more useful comparison.

100 yards in a sot designed for fishing is an adequate test to measure the difference in speed between different hulls. K1 Olympic races use 200 meters as their shortest sprint race but those kayaks are ultra slick and light and are far easier to propel in flat water than  kayaks designed for fishing in rougher water. I suspect that the fastest sot in a hundred yards would be the fastest over a couple of miles in that the ratios of hull and water resistance would remain fairly constant over short and long distance.

Well, I guess it's obvious now that I should have attached "PART 1" of this multi-part project.

I posted a pre-race warm up last month.

Another important factor is the "paddler".  Unless you have the same paddler paddling all of the above kayaks, the result could be "bias".

I think Hydrospider will be the "motor" for all yaks so the test will be consistent with his paddling abilities.
