Looking for the best rv park in Fort Bragg, there are a lot to choose from. What everyone's opinions?

We need.....
- kid friendly
- hook ups
- must have cell reception (wife is always on call)
- preferably walking distance to the water

We have stayed all around Fort Bragg but never in. The reviews are hit and miss on almost all and all seem to have perminant residents which usually isn't very appealing to the eye.

Thanks for any advice and input.

Not sure about  att cell reception, i get full Verizon all over that area.  but my personal favorite is albion.    Probably my favorite on the coast, somewhat cheep and friendly and awsome location compared to most others. But it does get crowded over the summer.  It isnt in fort bragg but just 15 minutes away and i have been told the downtown ones arnt to good.

I have started boycotting timber cove  in sonoma since the new owner yelled at me with a megaphone for 10 minutes while unloading the kayak the last 2 trips after i already left the way too large amount of money in the slip.  Wouldnt want to camp there either because that was at 730 am and im sure everyone was wide awake after that. Just to give people a heads up for the upcoming year.

Albion is one of my favorites as well. We are looking for in town since we are going to the whale festival on the 18th of march.

Thanks

The one in the harbor next to  Silvers is cool. You can walk to the jetty and it even has a pier in the harbor. Spaces not fancy but servicible.

I wouldn't stay at wildwood.  To many tweaker.  Leisure time doesn't have a bunch of frills and isn't next to the ocean but is usually out of fog bank and a bit warmer.  Pomo is nice but not kid friendly.  The others have mixed reviews.  Mackerricher is partly closed during storm times as the road always gets blocked.  Caspar is close to water but out of ft bragg and not sure about cell reception the same as Albion.

I was looking at the sportsman rv park which I think your referring to, looks a little tight on space and we have pop outs on both sides. Gonna call them again today but not trying to pay for two sites.

Haven't heard good things about hidden pines so maybe someone will chime in and it looks more like a month to month place.

Green acres seems like a possible spot and is walking distance to mackerricher and nearby ocean from the back of the property.  It's located just north of town.

Dolphin isle has some spots you can kayak from and is right on the Noyo river.  It goes down into a one lane road so if you have a big RV it's a little tight.  They do have a cafe that has good burgers and beer if you run out or don't want to cook.

The nicest campground for RV is POMO.  They are larger than others and have bushes and trees in between sites for privacy.

We have stayed at leisure time and pomo for two months each after a house sale fell through and we were looking for something else. We got to know the managers at Leisure time and they watch out for riff raft and I felt comfortable leaving our stuff there.  We also stored our RV there for a few years until we bought land that we could store it on.  If you have kids just don't let them run between sites and all would be good.  It was also nice staying there because I could dry my gear a lot quicker and places close to the ocean were often colder and had more wind.

I forgot the main reason we had issues with Pomo was when we stayed they had new owners who were nickel and diming us.  It cost us twice as much as others because of extra fees for kids and dogs.  It seemed like the best place for empty nesters and was pretty quiet except at the tent camping near the Abalone cleaning station.
