Not sure if this look is good for me though ?

Almanor's top anglers sport the golden locks and a straw hat.

Water was 40* today and yesterday. Slow bite on Almanor, but I was probably in the wrong spot as usual. At least I caught some of both varieties. I never read past reports from Chris before I go. I always forget. I marked a lot of fish but not much commitment. The ramp at Plumas Pines is snowy so I just parked up the hill in a rv spot and slid my kayak to and from my car. The North Campground ramp was accessible right now. Icy though. Don't try to launch a PB on either ramp is my opinion. No Ice on the lakes yet. Launched at 21* and got up to 41*. Bring hand warmers and gloves.

Butt was good to me today! Best Trout fishing I have had in years anywhere. Nothing under 16" landed today. About 20 landed and 12 or so lost before I saw them. Fast or slow presentation did not matter. Really weird they were all over the water column this time of year later in the day. It did take a while to find them at first hiding on the bottom. Once I started distinguishing them from the bottom I would drop down and they would rocket up to my bait.  The best was one crazy trout jumped in my tankwell behind my crate and then flopped out the other side. Jigs, worms, and other items worked. Hard part is figuring out how to see them laying on the bottom.

Not this time.

I did let it go all by itself though and caught up later.

It’s starting to sound like something that could evolve into an Olympic event

Yeah like where they ski, and then shoot?  We could yaksled, then fish!

We could call it bobsledding.
Thresher in avatar and Soupfin Shark in signature both caught and pic taken by me.

Or maybe "Robsledding".  Bushysledding just doesn't have the right sound to make it memorable.
"Pedo Viejo" is what Antonio called me.
