Damn, last couple of weeks the crab have been eluding us both inside and outside the jetty.  Anyone having luck out there?

Dropped 3 pots sat afternoon and picked them up sun around 1 and only had 1 dungie to show for it ,it was a 7 incher so that was nice,
not even a red or stone crab that was respectable??? Thats alot of work for 1 friggin crab...
So the rumor of Doran is slow is true!
Talked to other people and seems no one had limits.
Also today  some dirtbag asshole ripped off one of my pots and the crab in it ??? So beware, 🤬🤬🤬

But I had an Awsome dinner, Crab, garlic butter ,french bread
and Red wine !!

Yum...

It’s slow over at HMB also. I worked 5 ring traps for about 6 hours for 8 crabs. There wasn't enough action to even eat through one chicken drumstick.

The charm of fishing is that it is the pursuit of what is elusive but attainable, a perpetual series of occasions for hope.  ~John Buchan

They're out in deeper water.  I camped there last week and got nothing but rocks and shorts on the inside and just outside the jetty wall.  So I hopped on my buddy's boat and we did better in about 70fow.  Bagged 20 keepers for 4 of us.

So no one has suggested your crab pot might come back to you?  As I understand it you are required to attach identification to your trap now, so if a well intentioned person finds it, they know where to return it... P.S. is identification required on rings too?

Yes, all floats need ID on them. Wouldn't be a bad idea to put an ID tag directly on traps and rings in case the rope gets cut.

Looks like I need to head back there and coax the dungies to come out.  Haven't been back in over a week, didn't limit but 5 dungies in 3 hrs was good enough for me.
