Does anyone know if there is a legal way to get ESPN and MLB Network without paying for a full cable subscription? Those are two of the only channels watched in my house, and I'm wondering how to get those if we ditch Comcast.

Any thoughts?
Thanks!
Andrew

Streaming service like Sling TV ($20 per month) on computer or on TV via Roku, Apple TV device, etc. Sling TV gives 7 days of free viewing.

I believe the ESPN and MLB apps will require that you have a broadband provider like Comcast, etc.

You could try Sony Playstation Vue...for $55/mo you get MLB Network and ESPN, local programming and a bunch more.

You'll still need broadband internet access...and some sort of device..either Playstation, Roku, Apple TV, etc.

^^This.  I am a happy subscriber and have never looked back since cancelling cable.  I did, however, need to up my internet speed a little to 24mb/s to cut down on lag/disruptions.  PSVue has apps on a Roku, smartTVs, etc too, but I explained to my wife that the experience on a PS4 was best, so I got one of those too.   :smt044

mlb.tv blacks out locally - is that an issue? are you a giants fan? if you are, you'd be doing yourself a favor by just keeping the tv off.

Mlbtv is essentially worthless due to blackout restrictions. You can circumvent blackouts with a VPN, but you still can't watch playoff games without a cable sub. Just find free streams...
