Holiday sale and benefit...

It doesn't get past me that most of my bay area support comes from you guys at NCKA. This site has built a foundation of helping each other and I can't help but be inspired by that.

After hurricane Irma rolled over the Keys (a place where I have many friends and dive once or twice a year) I knew I wanted to run promotion benefiting someone over there. I asked my good friend if he needed anything and he said his place was fine. He told me that a friend of his did not fare to well, so as I was planning my promo to help the Leal family, the fires in Sonoma hit. Fuck.

Well Sonoma also has a special place in my heart. I have spent countless days up there fishing and diving. I don't keep up with boards much anymore, so I asked Big Jim if any NCKA families needed help. He said that you guys were already doing a raffle for Chris Johnson and Victor Gonzales, so I'm including them in this benefit as well.

Anyway, this post is not so much to solicit sales from you all. You all have done so much already. Just wanted to let you all know what the deal was. From now until the end of November I'm running a sale on my site. Use ABFRIENDS20 on checkout to save 20%. A portion of all sales (using code or not) will go directly to the Leal, Johnson and Gonzales family, split 3 ways. I launched on Instagram yesterday and so far, after one day of sales, we've raised $330 in total. Please spread the word to friends afar and let's see what we can do by end of this month.

i finally pulled the trigger on the rockfish and surf perch over california last night.  they both will flank our big family pic overlooking montara beach in the background!

Just an fyi. I would recommend the framing. I had 7 of my large prints custom framed, and the ones that Amadeo provides look nicer when I saw it on Howard's wall. IMHO.
