One of the best Rockfish trips I've planned out all year. Had the opportunity of putting @tmanley_jr on his first salt water adventure. Targeting species being Sea dragons and Rockfish. Camping three nights and fishing four days on the Pacific Coastline at the amazing Timber Cove campgrounds. I set out to sea to work different grounds and a mix of tackle prior to this guided trip to finally dial into what has set a huge bar for this latest saltwater angler. Saturday 9-2-17 we set out to Sea at a very promising and rewarding honey hole. Active fish biting on every drop giving little to no opportunity to spit the hook on his now new favorite jig. Teddy closed out the first day with a full house of three Brown Rockfish and a Limit of Lings one Sizing up to 35"s and second at 26". I solute you on your well deserved harvest🤙🏽[emoji305]. @tails2tales|#tails2tales

Always bro[emoji1605] glad all the stars aligned right for this day. I was crossing my fingers conditions held up long enough for a successful trip. You handle it like a champ.

I can't get enough of this place. I've knocked out a PB in at least one species every time I've gone. Looking forward to crab season out that way.

Very nice fish! Timber Cove is a great place.

Decent crabbing in Timber Cove? Pretty sandy..so it wouldnt surprise me.
-
Timber Cove has not been productive for crabs for me and a my friends

Soaked 4 crab pots for 4 hrs a few years back. Not even a rock crab. Empty like just the way I dropped them. Don't waste your time.

what I have done a few years ago is drop a couple of pots in Doran Beach around 6 AM gone fishing to TC and on the way back pick up the pots and a few Dungies.
Get the season pass for Sonoma Parks and you can launch at Doran Beach and if you want you could launch at Still Water North next to TC with the same pass. I have never launch at Still Water but I hear is doable.
