Bit the bullet and made the trip down to the bay pick up a T13 yesterday and had to take it out today.  Now normally I'm a spearfisher, but I'm letting some barotrauma heal up right before I get back in the water.  Buddy and I launched out of Russian Gulch and dropped down to Jack Peters.  The current was not in my favor and I came back empty handed.  Buddy pulled in a decent haul (spearfishing), 25-26" ling and some decent blues.  He said the fish were out enjoying the good weather but not a whole lot on the large size.

Cheers!

Congrats on your T13.  At least you got to enjoy mother nature.  Maybe your buddy could have put your swimbait in front of some lings...

Here! here! It goes without saying "worse day of fishing, still better than the best day at work" 😉 Congrats on the T13!

Barotrauma?  Is there an interesting story behind that?

Nope, just diving when I shouldn't have been.

Agreed. I have no idea what I'm doing when angling on "above water days." I could use plenty of guidance diving as well. Since I went to the trouble of stitching some GoPro clips together, here's some footage of all the fishies that weren't biting:
