American River FishNChill video report

First of all, thanks to Ricky and Sac Crew for putting this together and thanks to Naoaki for showing me the ropes. Great time was had with awesome people and awesome food. Like many others, I got skunked but it was still a blast. Definately gonna try get me a mudsalmon.

Awesome Vid Moo!! Definitely need ya to come out more often. You got it all. It was a Beautiful day OTW but yea the bite was slow. At least you can Always count on catching a Full Belly when there's a NCKA event. Sweet brotha thanks for coming out and sharing. It was a pleasure meeting you.  Looking forward to Fishing with you before season ends. Heading out Friday evening

Nice video, unfortunate about the skunk but that's just the nature of salmon fishing here it's a grind.

How is it it paddling back up river on the American? I've never fished here (from a kayak) as I've been concerned about the logistics of getting a pick up car down river or having to paddle up river in crazy currents.

If you launch from Howe and fish downstream to Fair Oaks bridge, paddling back is not bad at all. There is a rapid below Fair Oaks bridge which you want to avoid. From the pump house to Howe launch is shallow and slightly fast but totally doable. My revo 11 had no trouble and little bit of work out for paddle yaks.

Great Video Moo!  I filmed Noaki with my phone as he was landing that second fish.  It's video proof that he is a badass fisherman!  I thought he was screwed when he fouled the hook in his net then deftly flipped it over like a pro and hauled it in.  I honestly would have lost that fish!

Sorry I didn't post it earlier but I've been up to my ass in fire for the past 4 days.  I'll add it to your thread when I get some free time today.

I wanna go back this weekend.
