I just recieved a promo email from Sportsman's Warehouse that has two pedal fishing kayaks from a brand called Lost Creek starting at $1099. I have some friends who are kind of interested in kayak fishing, but want one that has a pedal and is affordable. What does everyone think.

Saw the same promo and thought "too small" for the ocean but a value price for lakes.  Interested to hear as well if anyone has any knowledge on these.

It depends on what you are fishing for and where. You wouldnt catch me out in one of those in the ocean but lakes and ponds would work fine. Price is good but you get what you pay for... I would tell them to go test drive a few different brands and sizes and see what they feel the most comfortable in and go with that! Recommend kayaks with scupper holes for fishing!

Depending on how big your friend is, check out the 2019 Hobie Passport pedal for $1300. Not the ideal length for the ocean, but that didn't stop me when I first bought the sport. Passport specs is below.

 Specifications
Type of Kayak    Sit on Top    Number of Paddlers    1 - Single/Solo    Hatches Incl    1
Length    10 ft 6 in / 3.2 m    Width    34 in / 86.36 cm    Weight    65 lb / 29.48 kg
Material    Polyethylene    Capacity    325 lb / 147.42 kg    Made in    USA

I just saw that Hobie Passport. That sounds a lot better than a unknown brand. My friend is shorter than me but weighs as much as me at about 240 lbs. So I'm not sure if the passport is stable enough for him.

I mainly fish lakes and around the delta, and occasionally go crabbing. The price looks good and it is already rigged with a few good stuff, but I'm pretty sure they had to save money somewhere to make it so cheap. I just saw the hobie passport so I'll probably stop by Headwaters to test it out with him. I'm really trying to push my friend into buying one so I can have a kayak fishing buddy.

Must've measured that going over a waterfall...
