Hey guys for those of you who haven't tried this it's great. Put it though some pretty serious testing and it has held up perfectly. It's more like a Chinese finger trap than a knot. I use 40 pound braid and attach twenty five pound izorline with this knot for fishing irons. It cast and goes through the guides really well and has a lot of applications.

I am going to have to try that, it looks promising.
Thanks for sharing

Trust you will love it. Takes a few tries sometimes.

I have been messing with this knot its kind of a pain, I don't know if I would want to try it on the water.
I can get 40lb and above leaders to tie nicely, but smaller diameter like 15-30 are even harder.
I guess I just need to practice more.

Looks like a great knot. Leaving the leader without any wraps or twists would seem to make it much stronger than one that has been twisted and tied. I'm gonna have to give it a try.

Here's a very similar knott. Same principal, but a different finish. Also burning a small knob with a lighter on the mono/floro end is a little extra insurance, and a dab of superglue.......:smt004

You wouldn't want to do it on the water for sure. I've had 40 lb braid to 25 mono on my rockfish rods for several trips and have really enjoyed the knot. I put 15 feet on one and 20 on the other.
Thanks Jonez I'm sure there are others also. Seems like a few could benefit from trying to improve their braid to mono connections who have never tried it before.
