Hey Everyone!
Im sure this question has been asked many times but i cant seem to find the forum post.
Which fish finder should i buy for my 2018 Hobie outback?

What do you hate about?

I like my lowrance hook 4. Its had 0 issues so far. It has downscan, sonar and good nav. You might want to bump up to the 5 if you dont want to look at a small screen though

I have the Elite 4 Chirp with GPS... I've had it around 2 years, but just this past weekend started having issues with it. It would turn on and none of the buttons were working. I would unplug from the battery and plug back in and it would work for a bit then shut off. I'm gonna clean all the plugs better and check my connections, but up to this point I've liked it on the kayak. If I can't get it working right, I'll probably just get another of the same since I liked it. I would get one with a gps. It's been handy to mark structure, fish, crab traps and helped when at Albion one time when the fog rolled in thick and we couldn't see the coast anymore. my 2 cents. :-)

Definitely check your battery too. Sounds like a low voltage issue. These units act real weird with a bad connection or dying battery.

Also check out the new hook2 units. They’ve made some changes. The 4 lays horizontal which I really like.
