After much debate and research I've arranged two all inclusive remote kayak fishing trips for the upcoming season. Same trip, two different dates. There's huge halibut and several salmon runs in the chosen area, as well as dungeness crabs and hopefully some big prawns. These should be great trips with float plane service both ways. Open to 6 people on each trip. Call or email with any questions. I can't wait! See link below for details-

Hey everyone, your best bet is Alaska Air jet service from Seattle. This is a 1.5 hour flight and Ketchikan is definitely the easiest place to get to in AK. The ferry does run once a week from Bellingham but it takes 36 hours (Fri. night to Sun morning) and unless you just want to do that I'd fly.

After recalculating everything I'm going to stick to the price of $1250 for now. I think that's quite fair. It takes a lot to put on a trip like this. For reference, if you hired a float plane to tour the Misty Fjords for just two hours it would cost you more than $1250.

I will help arrange housing and whatever else you need while you're here. As always let me know whatever I can do for you.

I am working hard on a scheme too pull this off.  One question.

The listing indicates a 7-day Ak. fishing license but each trip is only 4 days.  What other fishing and kayak fishing opportunities are available in the area before and/or after the trip in order to make full use of the license before returning home?

I was just checking out airfair S.J. to Ketchikan on Alaska Airlines.  The current price round-trip with about a one-week stay ranges about $260 to $600. FYI  :smt006

Since you're just begining the planning is there any chance you'd change it to a week or two earlier?  I start back to school that week.
