Hi

I just cant get myself to pay $44 for a sun visor for my FF.  Heres the Berkley pro version https://www.ebay.com/p/Berleypro-Fishfinder-Visor-for-Lowrance-Elite-7-Bp1703/873740866?iid=222821593662&chn=ps

Anyone have luck fabricating their own FF sun visor? I was thinking of getting thermoplastic sheets and then mold the sheet to my exterior of the FF. I think Blick Art Online had them.

Thanks,

Mike

Some Velcro and thin sheet of polycarbonate or plexi would work too.

Looks like I've found a possible and well documented solution on Youtube.  Basically, what Kevin was suggesting

I've ordered the Kydex on Amazon.  I'll let you guys know how it goes. Eddie, I will give you with the second sheet at no cost.  I just want some of that mojo it took to land that monster striper last week.  :smt002

Everything is easily available at your local TAP plastics.  Sift thru their scrap pile and you can score a sheet for a dollar or two.  All you need is a heat gun and scissors/shears.

Thanks Kevin.  I'll give that a I try.  I didn't know they had a scrap pile.  The last time I was there it seemed kind of boutiquey and very expensive.
