Aren't all line counters level wind?  I'm not sure I've ever seen one that wasn't.

nope there are many line counters made without LW
Last one I saw was the Tica cs348c
They are only found on Ebay now NIB
I want one to replace drag system so NIB is not worth it
also looking at all brands this time

I'm guessing these non level wind line counter reels are a pretty rare find, never seen one myself.

Just looked up that Tica CS348c reel you mentioned on ebay, that is a level wind reel, look at the pictures.

i don't know what's going on with ncka lately but so many mean people on here.

that reel looks like a right hand edition and they took the pic at an angle.

i found a pic of the reel your talking about and it's in a different angel

For the record.....I wasn't intentionally trying to be a jackass, nor do I think anyone else was.  As stated in my other thread, I feel like I may have use for a non-level wind line counter.  I was intrigued and posted, or hijacked if thats what you wanna call it, which drew other discussion. Its a discussion board, thats kinda what we do.

I started my own thread so as prevent further disruption then this one went poof.

In all honesty, I blame Herb and his  :smt011.  The thread went all downhill from there. 

For reals though OP, none of us meant to hijack or be negative about it.  Most of us were rather intrigued by the whole open face line counter and just wanted to see one that's all.

Well, as admin, I have access to what was deleted.  And after re-reading this thread in that context, I don't believe there was anything mean going on.  I actually think it is a misunderstanding.

I wasn't aware of another thread in relation to this at the time. All I saw was other people's input on the subject (which we always do, since its a discussion forum) and then a post filled with frustration which I didn't understand why,, hence the  :smt011
