My dad got this trailer custom made a few years ago, and when we decided we needed something to carry the kayaks on, we added Thule cross bars to it.  They bolt on and come off easily enough, are rigid, and accept Thule/Yakima accessories so you COULD add Hulla-ports, etc to make it able to carry 4 yaks.  Also, as you can see plenty of storage space underneath.

Home Depot doesn't seem to carry theirs any longer, unless it is just not shown on their website. I've found these:

or

There are three of them sitting out in front of the Placerville H/D right now.

Here's a picture of something close to what I had in mind.  It came from http://www.motrailers.com/canoe.php.

That last trailer looks like a modified boat trailer.

My friend Perry in AK had two modified boat trailers for kayaks. Both had 2" square steel tube uprights welded on the the bow & stern areas with 1/4" gussets, and carried 6 yaks with an expanded steel mesh (boiler screen) storage area beneath for yak gear. The trailers were heavy as hell, but he had them built extra sturdy to shuttle fiberglass rental boats from WA to AK on the Alcan. We used pipe insulation covered with heavy carpet scraps on the crossbars, and a strap/bungee combo to secure the kayaks, depending on long the trip was.
I would love to get a surplus military cargo trailer & modify it with yakima racks. Sure would be nice to pick up firewood AND haul kayaks.

Tractor Supply Store/Company, they have a chain of stores, has some nice trailers.  The metal is a bit thin, but would do.  They have a few different sizes and prices, and then one could fab a few racks.  Im going outside to take a few pics.

here are some pics, excuse the messy background.  The yaks are just sitting on top airing out from SCI trip.  Anyways the trailer was built from the ground up, starting with a 3500 lb tortion axle, 3/16th's inch angle iron, a 10 ft 2X3  1/4 wall tongue that goes almost the entire length of the trailer, with the faux, bella rosa 2X6 wood.  OVER KILL!!!!  but I wanted it to be sturdy, and so it could work for other applications if needed.  NOTE THE BOTTLE OPENER FOR A FROSTY COLD BEVERAGE AFTER A LONG DAY OF YAK-ING.

I talked to my dad today, and tossed the idea out about him building a couple for folks on the board.  I think I spent around 1200 in materials, and he said about 300 for labor.  If folks are intrested let me know.  You can save a little in going little on the steel, but not much.

Here's some commercial manufacturers of kayak trailers:

http://sportsrig.com/
http://www.oldinc.com/ekcttrailers.htm
http://www.trailex.com/canoes.cfm
http://www.rackandroll.com/

I'm thinking about one of these, but they're pricey.

I'm interested,

I would like to do something like you have in the pics but,

with secound rack for 2 more over the 1st, so I would be able to carry 4 total.

Heavy Duty just like the one in the pic :smt007........Danglin
