HOW Shasta 2nd 2017 Event June 16 Whiskeytown

We are working with local VA Caregiver Program to host event June 16 at Oak Bottom on Whiskeytown. Veterans will be there 10:30 or 11:00 between 7 and 15 participants. Volunteers should arrive 9:30 or 10. Headwaters will have their kayaks available but if you have a spare set up for fishing please let me know.

Will be for a couple hours with lunch. Don't think we will BBQ, probably just provide Subs and chips that day.

If you can help the entire day or part of the day please let us know.

Thanks
Bryan

Might be tough to get a day off, I'll see what I can do. You have use of my other hobie and I can at least have one rod and reel setup if not two.
Remember to practice safe knots, because big fish don't just break your line, they also break your heart.

how close is oak bottom to the kokanee grounds?  I'm off that day and could possibly make the drive up but am fishing the bay the next day for the ARW tourney.

I have caught lots of Kokes fishing the bouy line just off the launch at Oak Bottom,  latter in the season

Hey Everyone,

We are set for the June 16, Whiskeytown Lake - Oak Bottom Beach area 1100 am (Appreciate if volunteers could be there at 10:00 am).

This going to be a joint effort with the VA as part of one of their normal monthly outings. VA will be bringing the BBQ items and HOW will be providing the snacks, drinks etc. The VA has a van and will be picking up the veterans from their homes or the VA clinic.

Could use some help with the BBQ, getting kayaks on/off the water, taking the veterans kayaking/fishing.

Please let me know if you can make it and help in anyway.

Email me at shastaca@heroesonthewater.org, message/comment here or give me a call C- 410-310-1586

Thanks,
Bryan
