BROKe my CF Paddle coming into Linda Mar beach after a good salmon trip. What is it they call that beach - “The Market” ?
Well anyway I was trying to see if Hobie would take care of it for me - no go. They won’t even sell me a separate blade or that half section. I need to spring for a new paddle. Any recommendations?  Anyone else have a CF paddle problem?

Well shoot. I just bought a paddle from a NCKA member. Should have asked if anyone had one collecting dust first =P

There're many people here reported same issue about the "broken" Hobie's paddles in the past.

+1. Few people have broken their hobie paddle in the past. Use a reputable aftermarket paddle. Mirage drives break from time to time. If I’m not mistaken, there was an incident involving a member where both the mirage drive and the paddle broke. When that happens, you better hope you have a good working radio and or fishing with other people. Always have a good backup plan.

If you decide to buy a paddle, a bending branches is not a bad choice. I have had one now for well over ten years and have never had an issue with it.
