General Fishing Tips / Re: BEST TIP EVER!!
« on: July 19, 2020, 03:38:22 AM »
Hey guys,
I’m a bit of a slow learner, but starting to see the light.
After my recent post, I got some advice about toning down my posts because I’m blowing up spots and upsetting the locals.
Well..... Sorry, but I GET IT NOW!!
Rolled up to Bolinas around 7am this am and DAMN, couldn’t find a place to park.  WTF?
Frustrated, I turned  around and decided to get a doughnut instead.

Do you guys think it’s best to voluntarily “generalize” our fishing reports?  I definitely screwed myself this am.
NCKA is a great community, but apparently there’s a lot of people scanning reports, looking to capitalize on intel.

Going forward, I for one, will refrain from posting specifics.  Don’t see any good coming from it. Maybe that’s what slowed the salmon bite?  Too much pressure?  Maybe, maybe not, but parking sure sucked.  :smt010

Use my experience as an example and not hurt ourselves.

Halon out!

Yeah, I didn’t really get into kayak fishing and start spearfishing until late 2009/early 2010....

Crazy to think of all the adventures and good times in just 10 years!!

Sincerely,

Jim

Thanks for all those years of vids too.  :smt007

Always enjoyed watching them especially when I couldn’t get out there myself.

I’m out of the country right now but will be back in a couple days.

I have a pretty busy schedule but was planning on training my sons on how to use them this weekend.

Let me know

If you are close to San Jose you can swing by and check out mine.

They aren’t for sale but you can at least see how they work and if you bring your yak you can try loading and unloading on my vehicle.

Or just use my yaks for the demo

Great shots! Nobody surfing? Swell to small? Did you drive north to Pulmo or Frailes? Enjoy, Ron

Saw people surfing throughout the ride back. Didn’t pull over for any of the shots since my buddy had to get back to CSL.

Furthest we went North was to a sub division called Costa de Oro. Los Frailes is just a bit North of that. Going to Pulmo was on the list to do but time got the best of us. Got to have some extra time to enjoy that place.

You don’t want to rush though Cabo Pulmo.  :smt001

Mas fotos

I posted pics from Vinoramas along the coastal road south towards San Jose del Cabo.

There were stretches of fairly new paved road that made the trip so much easier and faster. It took us 90 minutes from Vida Soul in Vinoramas to CSL Medano beach.

Vidanta East Cape is the large project that is currently under construction. It’s Luxury residency, 18 hole Greg Norman golf course, largest salt water pool in the world yada, Yada, yada

Still far south of 9 palms for now.

There’s definitely a rise in some nice homes being built along the coast

All GREAT shots! Every time I see a shot of Corona with the background I get watery eyes. A few years back I camped at 9 palms for 6 weeks with my daughter. Drank beer at the present hotel when it was stacked cinder blocks, plywood, and tarpaper....camped at Pulmo Bain 1978!
Is anybody camping now? Any spearfishing? More pictures please...and enjoy for all of us, Ron

Stopped at 9 palms for some ice cold cervezas on the way up.
There were campers and surfers out enjoying life.

Brought the guns and have a possible trip lined up soon.

The coastal dirt road from San Jose isn’t as bad anymore. A lot of it is paved now.

Lots of new homes scattered around but nothing commercial yet.

There is a big ass complex going up but that’s down South more.

There’s been talks about another marina but that maybe 20 years from now.

It’s still as beautiful and desolate as ever

Sunrise from my room this morning  :smt001
