I do not believe that shutting down salmon again we be of any real benefit to the populations of salmon
Because it doesn’t deal with the root problem water
We can’t create the water and when any is allowed to flow to the ocean people complain but the fish need the water more than almonds in my opinion
Not harvesting our small portion won’t make a difference until they can fix the water
But other countries will still harvest as much as they can and it’s a lot

Gearing Up and Rigging Up / Mounting batteries in a TAndem Island
« on: September 13, 2023, 09:36:24 PM »
Looking for suggestions
I plan to mount 4 50ah lipo so my tandem island it will be a tight fit I’m hoping to place them around mid length of the hull  they are intended for my motor guide xi3
I realize it’s more than likely over kill but I don’t want to be worried about ruining out of juice trolling or on a electric only lake going across
at distance

Not quite sure how to keep them stationary
And with the lipos in there I’ll. Be adding an auto bilge
If you have done this pics. Could really help

Hobie Kayaks / Re: Opinions on Hobie cradles?
« on: May 19, 2023, 09:40:10 AM »
I love my cradles but to prevent craking I mounted a self centering roller just below the cradle height at the rear
It helps in loading /unloading my TI
It also prevents what can be excess rocking of the cradles
Witch can cause damage
This is a modified bass boat trailer I have a bow stop in the front roller in the back no pics of it but we know what they are

I don’t recall do you have a tandem Island or an adventure island
In any case this was my solution
I converted an old bass trailer on the cheap it goes much better than my 10 tires on my old trailer
I think I have 250 $ in the whole thing there often free or cheap

The last time I was there they were dirt /mud mostly very badly rutted from trucks and water drainage across the roads
It also depends we’re you enter the area or at least it did can you still enter the park through new idra ? That was a rough patch of road in the day

Been all over that area
Hunter pig got a nice 500 lbs fatty boar sometime back
When the Benito light  mine was sort of open
The common trick was to lack light the mining area
To find the precious gems long ago one of the owners of the mine got stupid or greedy and blew the mine in the process he most likely destroyed he’s best veins I have a few of some if the gem quantity and size stones very rare very valuable
Last time I was the the town was in use
I had heard that the residents were forced to leave by the state against there wishes
Cool Area  I don’t think they allowed dirt bikes and stuff like that anymore but I could be wrong
I may have to go back again after a little research on what’s actually allowed now
