Post by: TW on September 06, 2017, 05:21:33 AM
It's time for another NCKA potluck.
Post up here on what your bringing to the table.
(my work is done.)  :smt005

Menu:
Jack will be doing fish and chips this year
Marv will be doing smoked brisket and pork
Cameron and Avi are handling La Caja China for the piggy Tyja donated
One way or another we will have oysters again. Lloyd is helping with the shucking and making hogwash.

Nothing.  I just got the  thread rolling.  :smt006

I don't know if I need to cook with all this meat already.
Was thinking of Tri-tip though.

Spicy Pork, Korean style

I looked at the "list" and there's too much pork/meat, and no enough dessert or side.  So I will make coleslaw instead.

Here's what's on the list so far:

Fish n' chips        Potato Salad         Dessert 1        Drinks
Smoked pork       Green salad         Dessert 2
Piggy                   Fries
Oysters               Coleslaw
Smoked Trout

Do you have a favorite dish? Maybe a childhood favorite? Something that reheats easy or is served cold. Cooking something fresh is a little more difficult unless you have the gear for it.

I have decide that in honor of my newly placed stents I'd bring something closer to the healthy side. It's kind of a tomato fruit salad with a vinegar and oil dressing. It's supposed to have fresh nectarines in it but I doubt I'll be able to find edible fruit. I experimented with canned peaches the other day and that tasted pretty good.

I saw talk of oysters, but didn't see anyone confirmed, so I can bring some. If someone else brings them too, well more is better, right?
