Title: Deconstructed stuffing bread
Post by: Eddie on November 18, 2017, 11:25:50 PM
Gonna mix butter, cubed or powdered or wet chicken stock?... and celery seed or salt?...fresh parsley, fresh sage or ground?...onion powder, and s&p, and make a paste and spread it over Bordenaves sourdough loaf.  Bake with sprinkles of sausage.  Wot you tink?...I think Lays potato chips makes a stuffing flavored chip, seasonal of course..I am jonesing to fish, by the way... :smt006

Sounds tasty.

Here's another spin that you can do with leftover stuffing, so you could definitely do it with your unbaked mixture as well. Throw leftover stuffing and an egg (or two) into the food processor and pulse until it makes a cohesive mass that holds it's shape. Scoop the stuffing mixture into 3" x 3/4" patties and pan fry them until golden brown in a skillet over medium heat. A good pat of butter in that skillet is essential. Top with an overeasy egg and smother in gravy (sausage, being my preference). Makes a killer Black Friday breakfast.
