ATD was generous enough to meet me on the American river so that I could paddle the Cuda. Awesome kayak. It's stable, comfortable, dry, has tons of great features, and it looks better in person than I expected. It is a bit heavy and seems slightly slow. The positives far outweigh the negatives, in my opinion. I plan on heading to headwaters to check out the swap tomorrow. Ill probably pick up a Cuda unless I spot a great deal on a Trident or something.

We fished for Salmon for a bit, no luck. But the few casts were icing on the cake, as I really just wanted to try out the Cuda.

Thanks Adam!
P.S. I took a nice photo and tried to post it, but no luck. No idea why, and the video on the "how to post a pic" sticky did not work for me. Ill get it figured out and post it sometime.

Cudas rock!

On the salt, you really get an appreciation for the stability and dry deck.  The weight of the boat was also benefical; with the swell and wind the Cuda was less apt to turn than my OK when I wasn't paddling and just fishing.  The flat hull has made surf launches and landings easier for me so far.

Let us know what you decide on and give us some pictures when you bring either home.  Both boats you are considering are nice rides, but the Cuda has given me more piece of mind and comfort on the ocean.

I've got my eyes on the Cuda. It will be a few months but I will own one and it will be my winter time project.

I'd like to paddle one.

I'll bring mine up for Rockfish wars.  If you haven't had a chance to demo one by then, you are free to take mine out for a spin.
