:smt005 :smt044 :smt002 Fishing Rollins thursday 9-28-17   5:30ish till 9-10pm After work!!!! Come join us. Should be warm and fish are biting. Greenhorn access/campground. Bring bass, Crappie And catfish gear... $7 self pay in envelopes at gate. Bring change! Minnows are not allowed at Rollins. Worms are... Come hunt down those 18" Crappie also 12-13" red ear perch!!! Bass will probably be on the 12-18" size but fight hard. Might even be some TROUT out to play due to our colder nights this and last week. Newbies and everyone invited....

I'm going to try to make this. You sold me on the 12-13" red ears. I caught a 12" bluegill once and it was one of the highlights of my fishing life. Lure/bait hints for a guy who mostly fishes saltwater now would be welcome.

Crankbaits got them last time. they all chase the 1-1.5" crappie lures and jigs too. Bring the Worms for the big perch.Plan on deep runners (5-15') I like the bomber crankbaits.... If your not getting them I'll have lots of gear to get you on fish!!! Come on up. 8lb fluorocarbon line is a BIG advantage. just at dusk is when we blast threw the bait balls in 20-30ft of water and get the crappie/red ears! gonna be fun!!!

.
Post labor day lake drain in effect. Water dropped 20' in 3 weeks!!! Bass were still biting well and the bait balls were amazing. 10 8" to 18" spotted bass for me in 1.5 hrs. All were spitting 1" pond smelt as they were being pulled up. Very muddy water and boats have it stirred in areas that were clear. Gonna be a while before it settles out. Oh well, time for river salmon!!! :smt007
