Being that I usually fish on my own in Seattle I decided to go the H20spider route and make a camera mount. I used 1/4" PVC and gooped on a piece of pool noodle w/ a slot carved in it. All you need to do is slide the cam in, set the self timer and you've got your hero shot! :smt002

BRILLIANT!!    can't wait to try this

What other great uses can we make for that hole if we're not running a mast and sail kit?

Nicely done. Thanks for learning from my errors and starting high instead of the low angle and exposing the NCKA to more disturbing crotch shots.
The mount is only half the game. Now you have to learn the sweet spot of the lens angle when you let go of the cam to pick up the fish. When your "big fish" comes along and you are out there by yourself, you will be very happy you had this along and knew how to use it.
good luck

Funny you should mention that. If you're not going to use the yak to sail you can use it as a FF mount. Just pop the bottom stopper off, run the cables through, and mount the ff on top of it. Below is an Adventure.

I need to get to West Marine and pick up a foam key float for my camera.
At our Loch Lomond opener (The Monday one) I tested a float that was connected to Big J's camera, at her request, and the float did it's job!  Cheap insurance!.

You're right Mike, I stand corrected.  Camngolf posted almost 3 weeks before Z, but Z was the first to start a thread about it! :smt003
