I would like a used Honda eu200i or possibly some competitor. Would be used as power for our pop up trailer.

You mean EU2000i, not 200i.  Think the smallest they have done isa 350.  I bought a used 1000i bout a year ago. Be sure to stabilize the fuel & run it monthly.  Super quiet though!  Get the Honda for sure!

Those Honda 2000's hold their value.  Might be worth it to buy new so you know that it's not been abused.

Another option is the Yamaha inverter generator.  I have one of those and it's also very quiet.  A bit cheaper too as you are not paying for the Honda name.

I've not bought one, but remembered a previous thread where this was brought up and a good deal was at Costco for the Yamaha generator: http://www.costco.com/Smarter-Tools-2000-watt-Parallel-Capable-Inverter-Generator-with-Yamaha%C2%AE-Engine.product.100121916.html

Was my old thread when I was looking for one last year.  Ended up finding a good Honda 1000i on craigslist for like $400 or so.  Thought long & hard about the one at Costco though.

I've been very happy with my eu2000i. A bit pricey but I think it is worth it. JMHO

I kinda wish now I would have gone with the 2000i since it is very close in weight, size & just as quiet.

Good stuff guys! We're not suffering without one but it would be nice. I think I will get one. Shoot, before you know it we'll be having karaoke partys.  Plan on giving the local guys a chance to get close to the online price. (and let buying local and my wallet find a happy medium):smt006

Not sure what prices your seeing on the internet but the company I work for sells them for $999.  If your interested let me know.  I might be able to hook a brotha up.

Be sure to call and ask for prices from online retailers.
They are not allowed by Honda to post lower prices than other retailers, but some can save you a couple hundred bucks.

As for running each month and adding a fuel stabilizer, not bad advice but overkill.
Do keep the lid in the "OFF" (sealed) position during storage, as this greatly reduces fuel break down.
Do drain the fuel bowl if the generator will be stored for more than a month at a time.

I have had my Honda EU2000i for just over 10 years and only had to clean the main jet one time, as I forgot to drain the fuel bowl.  It sat for 5 months and although it would start and run, I had to have the choke on half way for it to run smooth.  Pulled the carb apart real quick and blew out the main jet with carb cleaner.  20-30 minute job.
