You should get this one.
Sold!  I'll blow all the other boats to smithereens!

I appreciate the responses everyone, a lot to think about.  I'm looking to keep this boat below $1k.  But at the same time, I wouldn't feel comfortable running a river in an inflatable under $100.  The Aquaglide Blackfoot that Odonata suggested is looking pretty good right now.

paddled lots of duckies and think Aire makes a good quality boat, they have lots of options and will last forever.

I was at a demo day out in the Sierras last year and really took a liking to the Aquaglide Chinook XP and Columbia XP. Everything you wouldn't expect in an inflatable both seemed to have and do on top of the quality factor. I think just the overall ease of paddling, tracking and maneuverability is what really got me even with mild winds out. Also got to try out the Advanced Elements Sport Kayak and also really liked it for an inflatable but the quality seemed a bit less compared to AG..

Owned an Air Tomcat and although this wasn't river use, Aires quality is top notch and I would really be interested in testing the Bakraft series. Pricey but the weight is super light!
