General Fishing Tips / Re: SC Wharf Macks
« on: September 15, 2021, 06:27:46 PM »
I was out last Saturday and saw a ton of mackerel.  12"-to over 20". Couldn’t drop my squid down without getting hit. I used one to catch a Ling. They were every where. And so were the birds.. I will be back out on Friday.  Will report.

General Talk / Hobbies seats

Went fishing at Spicer reservoir. Loaded up and realized the seats were left at the ramp. Looking for seats for 2015 and 2017 Hobie. Anybody upgrade and have an old set to sell?

I used to stop by after work for a few drinks and Robert Stagnero would tell stories from back in his young days. Great memories!

I have 2 options.  Keith likes Sturgeon by China Camp going towards the pump house. My other thought depending on weather is I have a boat berthed in San Rafael.  Maybe drop crab pots and fish for halibut at Fort Chronkite. Had good luck last rime.

I just got kicked out of a parking lot by security. I was meeting for one of my employees to pay him.  I have a boat in berthed in San Rafael.  Was thinking of going fishing with  the wife and kids. What's going to happen next?

Thanks for the responses.  Yes, flag for sure. Saw a couple boaters not obeying the 5 mph all the way in. Thinking San Rafael will be better this weekend.

I stopped by the launch on Sunday.  Talked to a few boaters. They were skunked or undersized. Looked to be a nice launch. No fees! I need to check wind and Tides for this weekend.  Has anyone gone out lately?

I peddeled out to Duxbury reef. First was the 33" then caught 3 around 20". Plenty of brown rock fish in between. Finished with the 14". No kayaks and just a few power boats. Perfect day on the water.

I haven't made it there this summer. I have caught a lot of Bass on crank baits and swim baits. Have caught catfish though not trying on swimbaits. On the 17 side across from  the launch there are trees in the water and all along the shore heading south. They have always been there.

General Fishing Tips / Re: Elite Ti-2 7"
« on: June 19, 2019, 04:42:14 PM »
I just bought the TI2 7" at Bass Pro and the transducer is way too big. Looks i will take it back and go talk to Allen. I have 2 Hobies. Can i get a transducer by itself? So i can move the ff between boats? I have a TI2 9" on a PB and love it!
