But I just got a great new boat am want to get out there and catch some fish, and just enjoy some paddling explorations.

So, I'm back and hoping that posting this (re)introduction, will allow me to see the the rest of the forum. I couldn't figure out why I could not see anything!

I live in Nicasio, Marin county.

I didn't think my forum name was "Jeff". I thought it was "Floater", but the site remembered me as "Jeff", so I guess I will just go with it... It is my name after all.

I just got an Eddyline Caribbean 14 Angler, 2017 model. I've only had it out once on Tomales Bay for a couple of hours. It feels great. It is the first boat that I have had that does not have a rudder. I thought that I would for sure want to add one, but it tracks very well. Maybe I can just learn to paddle better and go without.

I was inspired to buy it because my Hobbie Quest Fisherman just feels so heavy to load up on the SUV and carry to launch points by myself. I guess getting older makes these activities a little more challenging every day. The Eddyline is 20 lbs lighter, and that is enough to make it pretty effortless.

I am eager for next weekend! At this point I am happy to just get out on the water in various places, with my 20 lb. dog and explore a bit. Fishing will come soon enough. Is there any good fishing in Tomales Bay? That is my quickest and easiest place to paddle.
